The Wilkinson Wedding was one for the books last weekend in Farmers Branch Historical Park. It was a sun up to sun down gorgeous event. Amy and I have never worked a wedding this long and worried about how we would be able to maintain but with this fun crowd it flew right by. They had a simple sweet brunch ceremony followed by a brunch at the Brookhaven Country Club. Then we went back to the grounds to take some portraits of the bride and groom. The bride grew up in this town and the groom works with trains so it was kind of perfect. Next we got a little break while the magnificent tent finished setting up and off to the reception we went to snap some detail shots and see Megan’s new hair do for the evening.
The tent had 3 rooms: the entrance was a lounge room for cocktail hour with comfy sofas and adorable geo decor on tables, then you walked in the dining room with tens of thousands of hydrangeas spilling over the long tables, and last was the dance room where Jack Ingram band played and they had a popcorn/snack bar and a whole lot more. Amy and I had the pleasure of even singing a song with Jack Ingram once the dancing portion of the night began.
Needless to say the vendors for this wedding totally outdid themselves and unfortunately I do not know their names but will get them for you. The day was put on by Jill Fortney Productions and now Amy and I would like to request that more brides do morning weddings :). Ok now for the best part…the pictures!
